Hello FEO Eagle Families,
This past week we had the privilege of having Paul Davis speak to our grade 7 & 8 students as well as our families. I want to thank everyone who was able to attend as well as our FEO School Council for sponsoring the event. For those who were unable to attend, I would encourage you to explore the topics that were covered by Paul Davis "The Internet Never Forgets."
Looking ahead, we have another exciting week! I want to highlight that Friday September 25th is a Professional Development Day for teachers and there will be no school for students. Teachers will be working on Individual Program Plans (IPPs) for many of our students. Parents of IPP students, please check your update from SMATH teachers that includes an "Understanding my Student" document. Please ensure that this is completed and brought back to teachers or the FEO main office before the 25th.
A special congratulations to Nellie and Wally for their incredible performances at the last Cross Country meet and to the Girls soccer team on collecting their first win of the season in their opening game! Don't forget to give the FEO Instagram a follow! I hope that you have a wonderful week and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions,
Warm regards,
Dr. Michael Cutler

FUN LUNCH | Introductions!
Our school and the Fun Lunch Team are very excited to continue this year with the online program called Healthy Hunger!
This program has been running for the past few school years with great success. It is the only fundraiser for the school which runs throughout the year and the funds gathered are used for helping the school, students and parent council in many ways.
It also gives parents a break from making lunches by having food brought into the school.
If you are new to the school or to Fun Lunch you will have to sign-up your child at www.healthyhunger.ca. If you have been a part of Fun Lunch before then login with your email and password.
To order lunches, add your student and select this year’s grade and homeroom teacher!
Every time a new lunch form is posted you will get a notification from the website and then reminders to order until the deadline. The first Fun Lunch is Oct 7. The order deadline is Oct 2 at midnight.
Thank you for all your support!
INFORM | Annual Volunteer Registrations
To ensure the security and safety of our staff and students, all volunteers in our schools need to be registered. This form must be completed annually. The information collected on this form will be held in strict confidence.
A volunteer is someone who assists schools and/or students either in curricular or extra-curricular activities including volunteer drivers and students volunteering outside their school.
You must be 13 years or older to register as a volunteer. CBE students are not required to apply to volunteer in their own school. Students wanting to volunteer in another school are required to apply to volunteer.

REMINDER | Mobile Device Policy
FEO students will not be permitted to use personal mobile devices during instructional time, unless such use is approved for health and medical needs and to support specialized learning needs.
These new rules are similar to the ‘away-for-the-day’ guidelines that many schools have been using in recent years. Students in grades K-9 will not be permitted to use personal mobile devices during the school day. Student devices brought to school must be powered off or set to silent. They should be left in lockers or better yet - simply left at home.
