Hello FEO Eagle Families,

I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend! We have quite a few exciting things happening around the school right now including some fun plans for Halloween at the end of the month! Our Student Leadership team will be sending home more information soon!

A huge congrats to Ms. Kerr for her incredible coaching work with the Boys Soccer Team. They defeated Simon Fraser this past Wednesday and have advanced to the Finals. This will be played at FEO on Monday, October 21 at 4:30 PM. Go Eagles!

This coming Friday, October 25 is a non-instruction and there will be no school for students while teachers engage in Professional Learning

Halloween Celebrations | Costumes

Halloween is a fun and exciting time that students of all ages look forward to all year.  We are very excited about Halloween at F.E.O. but we also want to ensure that we continue to support a safe, caring and inclusive environment. Students that decide to wear a costume cannot include weapons in their costume or appropriate other cultures, religions, or races and must be respectful of diversity. 

Athletics Update

We are so incredibly proud of both of our soccer teams! Both the Girls and Boys team have made it to the finals! The games are coming up on Monday Oct. 21 (Boys Final) and Oct. 22 (Girls Final). Congrats on an amazing regular season and good luck in the finals! GO EAGLES!

School Council Meeting | November 4, 2024 

At the next School Council meeting we will be discussing how to spend the $124,000 raised from our casino volunteering that was in the spring. This money must be budgeted out for a two-year period until our next casino opportunity. Please come participate in this very important conversation and have your voice heard. The next meeting is MONDAY NOVEMBER 4 at 6:30 PM (Meeting link for MS Teams will be sent to families the morning of the meeting). We really hope to see you there!

FEO Fun Lunch Reminder

FEO and the Fun lunch committee (School Council) are very excited to continue this year with the online fun lunch program called Healthy Hunger!

This program has been running for the past few school years with great success. It is the only fundraiser for the school which runs throughout the year and the funds gathered are used for helping the school, students and parent council in many ways.

It also gives parents a break from making lunches by having food brought into the school twice a month☺

If you are new to the school or to fun-lunch you will have to register your child by going to the website www.healthyhunger.ca and creating a password for the site. If you have been a part of fun lunch before then login with your email and password and add your child by selecting this year’s grade and teacher!

Every time a new lunch form is posted you will get a notification from the website and then reminders to order till the deadline.
