Hello FEO Eagle Families,

What an exciting first week back! It has been wonderful to welcome students back to FEO, and we have certainly hit the ground running as we begin another great school year.

This fall, the CBE has hired hundreds of teachers, education assistants and other school staff to support student learning. These positions have been funded by the Government of Alberta with the intention of addressing classroom complexity and class sizes. We are pleased to welcome additional new staff to our school for the 2026-27 school year:

  • Alexis Huehn
  • Megan Sutherland

We are very pleased to welcome these staff members to our school community! This additional staff will help ensure students benefit from:

  • Increased teacher attention
  • Improved classroom learning environments
  • Greater support for diverse learning needs

Looking ahead to next week, we invite all families to attend our FEO Open House on September 10 at 6:30 p.m. Following the Open House, our FEO School Council meeting will take place, and all parents and guardians are welcome to attend.

Also on September 10 is Picture Day, so please be sure to mark your calendars.

Looking a little further ahead, we are pleased to host Paul Davis for a presentation on Social Media Safety on September 15. We encourage families to save the date for this valuable session.

Thank you for your continued support of our school community. We hope you have a wonderful long weekend, and we look forward to seeing students back on Tuesday.

Dr. Michael Cutler
Principal | F.E. Osborne School

FEO OPEN HOUSE | September 9th @ 6:30 PM

"Mark your calendars! We are very excited to welcome families into the school to meet teachers, see our facilities, and run through your students’ timetable! We look forward to seeing you there!

Immediately following the Open House is the FEO School Council meeting, and we would love to see you there!"

FEO School Council | September 9 @ 7:30

One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council. Under the Education Act, a school council is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school. School councils have legislated advisory and decision-making authority defined within the Education Act and the School Councils Regulation.

Our first school council meeting of the year will immediately follow our "Meet the Teacher" night. The council meeting will be held in-person at FEO!

FEO Picture Day | September 10th

Jostens will be at FEO on the 10th to take student photos. Please make sure you are prepared and ready for your moment!
