Hello FEO Eagle Families,

We are very excited for the Grade 9 Farewell taking place this Tuesday evening at Heritage Park. This special event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our Grade 9 students’ accomplishments and to wish them well as they continue their educational journey toward high school graduation. A sincere thank you to the FEO School Council for the time, effort, and care they have put into organizing this memorable evening.

We are also entering the next round of Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs). I would like to take this opportunity to remind families that meaningful learning continues throughout the month of June, even after PATs are completed. While some students may express a desire to leave school after finishing their exams, this remains a family decision. Please note that regular classes will continue, and our office is not able to process student requests for early dismissal following PATs.

As we work together to make this a June to remember, it is equally important that it is a safe one. We ask all members of our community to help maintain a safe, caring, and welcoming school environment. Activities involving water guns, water balloons, water bottle fights, or similar behaviours are not permitted at school.

Our music department will also be hosting the Spring Concert this Thursday evening at Bow Valley Christian. We wish our students the very best as they showcase their hard work and talent. In addition, we extend our best wishes to our student-athletes as they compete in the Middle School Track Meet.

Thank you for your continued support of the outstanding FEO learning community.

Warm regards,
Dr. Michael Cutler

UPDATE | Sage Hill Express Route

We have been informed by Calgary Transit that due to the decrease in ridership they will only be running one bus on Express Route 795 for the 2026-27 school year. This may result in times when the bus is full and students will be required to find alternative transit routes to or from school.

Express route information will be updated by end of August. Your family will want to review the Calgary Transit website for additional route planning options for details about stops and times.

The CBE work collaboratively with Calgary Transit, but we do not direct their work. Decisions on service levels are made by Calgary Transit based on available space and resources.

CELEBRATING SAFE AND CARING SCHOOL COMMUNITIES

As a school, we are committed to ensuring our schools are safe and caring places for every student and staff member. As a public school system, we welcome every learner and value the diverse backgrounds, perspectives and lived experiences that make up our school communities.

As a system, we recognize many important dates in June, including the beginning of Pride Season, and many others as outlined on our dates of significance calendar. We affirm the importance of ensuring 2SLGBTQ+ students and staff have learning and work environments that are welcoming, caring, respectful and safe.

Our schools work intentionally to promote belonging by preventing discrimination and recognizing and removing barriers to participation and learning. At the heart of this work is creating learning environments where our students and staff feel respected, supported and able to be themselves.

When students feel safe and valued for who they are, they are better able to learn, grow, and thrive. Building school communities where everyone feels a sense of connection and belonging is shared work. We are grateful to the families, students and staff whose partnership helps our communities flourish.

NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLES HISTORY MONTH EVENTS 2026

We celebrate the strength of Indigenous peoples, the wisdom of Elders, the leadership of Knowledge Keepers, and the voices of youth who carry these teachings forward.

Let us gather in a good way through song, dance, storytelling, and community to celebrate culture and connection.

CLEAN UP BEFORE YOU GO! | CBE Students Move or Delete Files Before Departure

The CBE is reminding all students to save their files they wish to keep on a personal drive prior to June 26, 2026. It is especially important for students who are graduating or leaving the CBE to move all files over to personal storage because they will lose access to their CBE account after August 31, 2026, and their CBE email address and inbox will be deleted permanently.

Anyone who has applied to a post-secondary institution or scholarship with their CBE email address is encouraged to update their email contact information with the organization to which they have applied.

For more information, please see Technical Support for Students and Parents.
