Hello FEO Eagle Families,

As we approach the final week before winter break, I wanted to share some exciting updates and remind everyone that learning continues right through our last day together.

While the anticipation of the holidays is certainly building, our teachers have planned engaging and meaningful learning experiences for every day leading up to the break. Students will remain actively engaged in their studies, continuing to grow and develop their skills. We encourage students to maintain their focus and finish the term strong.

Our Grade 6 students have been invited as special guests to Marion Carson School's winter pep rally. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with another school community and experience the spirit of the season together. We're grateful to Marion Carson for their hospitality and look forward to this special event.

We'll be hosting our own FEO winter pep rally on the last day of classes! This celebration will bring our entire school community together to recognize student achievements, celebrate the season, and send everyone off into the break with positive energy and school spirit.

Our School Council is hard at work planning the upcoming casino fundraiser, which supports valuable programs and resources for our students. We still need several more volunteers to make this event a success. If you're able to contribute a few hours of your time, please contact the School Council—your support makes a real difference for our school community (see below for more details).

The next School Council meeting will be held on December 16 at 6:30 PM online via MS Teams. All families are welcome to join and hear about upcoming initiatives and ways to get involved. The link for the meeting will be sent out to all families the morning of December 16th.

Thank you for your continued support in helping your children stay engaged and focused during this exciting time of year. We're looking forward to finishing the term on a high note!

Warm regards,
Dr. Michael Cutler

AHS | Social Emotional Learning Advantage

Your teen is growing fast, learning who they are, and dealing with stress, school, and friendships. Social Emotional Learning can help. Social Emotional Learning is learning everyday life skills like how to solve problems, manage emotions, cope with stress, and build healthy relationships. These skills are strongly linked to better mental health, reduced anxiety and depression, improved academic performance, and even better long-term physical health.
