Hello FEO Eagle Families,

We are excited that Volleyball season is well underway! Both Junior and Senior teams are off to a great start! This coming Monday (February 5th) marks that start of our new Grade 7 homeroom which we are very excited about! FEO received some additional funding for semester two which meant we were able to create an additional Grade 7 Home room significantly reducing overall Grade 7 class sizes.

New Grade 7 Homeroom

All Grade 7 classes have been reorganized to accommodate an additional grade 7 homeroom. Due to restrictions on the PowerSchool software, the new class lists are not able to be displayed for families until Monday morning. The new class lists will be posted inside the school, at all entrances on Monday morning so students know which class to attend. Upon arrival in their new class, new schedules will be handed out in addition to being available on PowerSchool. Thank you again for your patience as the school has worked diligently on class reorganization.

F.E. Osborne Parent Association Casino Fundraiser

Please sign up to volunteer and help out!

F.E. Osborne Parent Association: Casino Fundraiser 2024 (signupgenius.com)
When/Where: Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11 at Ace Casinos Airport (40 Aero Cres NE)

As you may know, F.E. Osborne PA is able to host a casino approximately once every 2 years. This fundraiser typically generates around $60,000 for the school. All students at FEO will benefit from the funds raised through this event.

No experience is necessary to volunteer! If you have never worked a casino shift before, be assured that you will be adequately trained and supervised on the day. It is a lot of fun; you will meet other parents from the school, and you will feel happy in the knowledge that each volunteer shift has generated $1,500+ in funds for FEO.

Any questions/need something please email parentassociationfeo@gmail.com Attn: Emma and Tim, Casino Co-Chairs or if needed feel free to call/text Emma at 403.991.2556 and Tim at 403.333.5777

FEO School Council

School council will be meeting on February 6, 2024. One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council and attending school council meetings. We encourage you to attend the next meeting online. The meeting link will be sent out to all families the day prior to the meeting.

CBE 50th Anniversary for French Immersion

This spring will be an exciting time for French Immersion across the CBE, as it will be the 50th anniversary of French Immersion programming in the Calgary Board of Education! Our grade 7's will join other grade 7 CBE Immersion students for a celebration in March. Stay tuned for more details. What an honor to be part of such a strong tradition and special programming in Calgary. Fun fact: CBE is home to the largest French Immersion programming west of Quebec.
