Hello FEO Eagle Families,

The teachers, staff and administration are looking forward to welcoming your child to FEO on Tuesday, September 2nd.

I recognize there’s been a lot of news lately about potential labour action by the Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA), and I understand this may be creating uncertainty for families.

At this time, I want to reassure you that F.E. Osborne school is ready to start the school year as planned.

If any labour action is to take place, the ATA is required to give school boards 72 hours’ notice. Should that happen, we’ll make sure to share updates with you promptly.

Tuesday | First Day of School

School begins at 8:10 AM and concludes at our regular time of 2:40 PM. Grade 6 & 7 students will proceed to the Eagle Dome (Gymnasium) to receive their timetables. Grade 8 & 9 students will proceed to their homeroom classes. Homeroom lists will be posted inside the school.

Students will then spend the first two blocks of the day in their homeroom (Eagle Time) classes. Following Eagle time, students will run through their timetable to meet of all their teachers.

Update | PowerSchool

Due to a technical issue with PowerSchool some students were unable to view their 2025/26 timetable. Teachers will have paper copies of timetables for students upon arrival Tuesday morning. I apologize for the inconvenience and I am hopeful that this issue will be remedied shortly.
