Hello FEO Eagle Families,
The hallways are bustling at FEO! The bands are preparing for the band camps and Disney trips, the drama department is nearing their Cap'n Frank performance, Badminton is underway, Model U.N. is coming at the end of the month and eSports is hopping! I am also excited to annouce that our student council is working towards a transformation of the FEO courtyard into a teaching space. The old shed has been dismantled and removed and plans are in the works for the construction students to build garden boxes! I am very excited to see the progress and look forward to provigind more updates!
This past School Council meeting I had the opportunity to share the results of the Grade 9 Farewell survey and collaborate with School Council on several ideas. We feel that family voice is incredibly important and we are going to have a special meeting on April 22nd to continue the discussion. I invite you to attend and share your voice in celebrating our grade 9s!
This coming weekend is Easter weekend and there is no school for students on Good Friday or Easter Monday. To our students and families observing this occasion, I wish you a Happy Easter filled with love and peace.
As always, please continue to check the FEO Calendar for the most up-to-date happenings of the school!
Kind regards,
Dr. Michael Cutler | Principal

Digital Pathways program:
This is a new program at Sir Winston Churchill with three possible course offerings:
Design Thinking and Innovation Technologies Intro
This dynamic and innovative program offers students a hands-on, practical experience in a state-of-the-art interactive design lab. It focuses on developing foundational technical skills in prototyping and Design Thinking. Students work with industry-standard tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop these skills. Students apply and refine their knowledge in response to engineering-adjacent design challenges.
AI, Cybersecurity and Game Dev Intro
This is a 4-credit intro course in which a student will have the opportunity to learn the basics of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, coding, artificial intelligence and cyber security. A student will be able to learn such concepts by building a PC, installing and virtualizing Windows and Linux, building their own Ethernet network, coding in C++ and learning the basics of AI and Cyber Security.
Broadcasting and Podcasting Intro
Jump into the world of Podcasting and Broadcasting and create cool content in a real studio setup! In this course, you'll learn hands-on skills like recording, editing, and broadcasting, using top-notch tech that professionals love. You'll get to produce your own podcasts, short videos, and even school news segments—turning your creative ideas into reality!
You would be expected to commit to one of the courses for at least 3 years.
