Hello Eagle Families,

It has been an exciting week at FEO! We were thrilled to welcome representatives from Bowness High SchoolSir John G. Diefenbaker High School, and Winston Churchill High School who presented to our Grade 9 students. These sessions provided valuable insights as our students begin thinking about their next steps in high school.

Volleyball Tryouts continue next week for both junior and senior girls’ and boys’ teams. We encourage all interested students to come out and give it their best!

A reminder: If you would like your student to participate in the Human Sexuality module in Health, please ensure that a signed copy of the required forms listed below is returned as soon as possible.

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for our Open House on January 29 at 6:00 PM here at FEO. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our programs and connect with our staff—I look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our school community.
-Dr. Michael Cutler

Bell Let's Talk Day | January 21, 2026

Bell Let’s Talk Day on January 21st is dedicated to mental health awareness, acceptance and action. The theme of Bell Let’s Talk Day 2026 is taking a moment for mental health. Canadians will be encouraged to prioritize mental health and give mental health the moment it deserves:

  • Moments to take care of and be in tune with your own mental health
  • Moments to reach out to those around you, caring for their mental health
  • Moments to recognize the societal importance of mental health, which can take many forms – from flag raisings, school assemblies, sharing personal stories, to learning and listening

Visit https://letstalk.bell.ca/tools-and-resources/ to download the Bell Let’s Talk toolkit and Conversation Guides.

Take action on mental health in your school every day with these ideas that work.
