The countdown is on! The first day of classes for all FEO students is Monday, August 31, 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for an amazing year ahead.
Your timetable will be shared with you on PowerSchool before classes begin—so keep an eye out and get ready to dive into your new schedule!
The FEO Main Office will re-open on August 26, 2026.

Lunch Supervision
Lunch supervision is provided for Grade 6 students. Students in Grade 7 to 9 have the opportunity to leave campus during the lunch break to purchase food. Grade 6 students are not permitted to leave the FEO campus.

Fees & Waivers
Fees will be charged to your MyCBE account beginning in October.
Transportation
Calgary Transit
Students in the Sage Hill area will take the 795 Express Route while students living in the Varsity Area can take the 794 Route to school. Please check the Calgary Transit website for more information. LINK: https://www.calgarytransit.com/home.html

School Supplies
Grade 6 Students
Supplies will be provided for grade 6 students but you are welcome to purchase personalized items if you like.
Grade 7 to 9 Students
Junior High students are required to provide their own school supplies. Any materials required for Options / CTF classes are provided (purchased with student course fees).
- Cutlery (spoon, fork) for use at lunch; we do not provide utensils 😊
- Labeled water bottle
- Binders - 3, 2-inch binders (Humanities, SMATH & collection binder for previous units)
- Paper – lined (approx. 600 sheets)
- Paper – grid paper (graphing)
- Pencils - 2 dozen HB or mechanical (buy refill leads that fit – usually 7mm)
- Erasers (2-3)
- Pencil sharpener with collection section for shavings
- White board markers (thin) - 6 or more
- Small scissors
- Pencil case (or two – 1 for the geometry set, markers, etc.)
- Fine tipped sharpies
- Pencil crayons
- Dividers 2 packages
- Geometry set (protractor & compass)
- Calculator – basic one is fine for grades 7 & 8, grade 9 teachers will recommend scientific calculator
Please remember to label all of your supplies with your name.

FEO eSports Team
The FEO eSports team continues to grow and we are expected to be competing in several eSports competitions across the city in 2026/27!
Off-Site Activities
Keep updated on field-trips and other exciting off-site activities throughout the year. We're excited to expand on learning opportunities by stepping outside of the classroom.
